Hutton Kitchens
Woodbridge Stages
October 11, 2008

Following 2007’s successful first running of the Hutton Kitchens Woodbridge Stages, Chelmsford Motor Club and West Essex Car Club are pleased to announce the 2008 rally.

We intend to follow last year’s format of 8 stages confined to the smooth and twisty roads of Woodbridge airfield. The challenging ‘buddleia forest’ areas have received some more development this year allowing a slightly longer stage. There are also changes in the regulations allowing competitors to miss stages or controls and still stay in the rally, thereby ensuring the maximum amount of competitive miles for everybody.
Hutton Kitchens are again our title sponsor and their generous help will ensure the rally continues to build its reputation. Scrutineering will be available on Friday evening at the Holiday Inn, Ipswich and we have been able to negotiate a very competitive rate of £50 per room for those wishing to stay overnight.

KCOC Award

Members of WECC will be aware of the KCOC Wooden Spoon which is awarded for the biggest cock-up of the year. This avoidable prize was introduced in the 70's by Crow and initially presented to George Hendry though history doesn't record the reason.
In subsequent years George has received this accolade on more times that he thinks is justified, including 2007, and as tradition dictates he will be awarding the spoon for the most appropriate KCOC during 2008. Could readers therefore please feed him with the necessary faux pas tales during the year so that the award is allocated to the most deserving club member.
